Falling For the Capital
Experience the red white and blue of Washington, DC, during the colors of fall!
Day 1 - Monuments by Moonlight (D) Arrive in DC and check into your relaxing capital home, the Holiday Inn Arlington. After some time to relax, get ready for a wonderful three-course dinner at Tony & Joe's, a local favorite. Your first evening is finished with a spectacular night driving tour to see the monuments by moonlight!
Day 2 - The Good Book (B) Today, experience one of DC's newest attractions, the Bible Museum, opened just last year. Providing an immersive and personal experience, the museum uses cutting-edge technology to bring the Bible to life. Span time, space and cultures as you step into the pages of The Good Book. This afternoon, cruise the Potomac from Georgetown to Alexandria. See DC from an entirely new perspective, with stunning reflective views of the Jefferson Memorial, Kennedy Center, Washington Monument and more! Back on land, tour Old Town Alexandria with your costumed guide, see historic neighborhoods and modern sites, including Sea Captain's Row, Market Square, the Torpedo Factory Art Center and more! Once you have the lay of the land, explore the town for shopping and dinner on your own.
Day 3 - National Cathedral (B, L) This morning, step through the doors of the National Cathedral. Be moved by soaring architecture and traditional services. Enjoy a farewell lunch at Nick's Riverside Grill before heading home.
