The Fountains of Longwood

Royalty, Dancing Water, Top of the Sky

After a $90 million renovation, The Main Fountain at Longwood Gardens made its highly anticipated debut. Still sparkling in its newness, witness this incredible water garden unveiled with exciting new surprises. Join us for a three day escape to Pennsylvania featuring dancing water, blooming gardens, the City of Brotherly Love, and American Royalty.

Day 1 - Summer in Winterthur (D) - Feel like a member of the DuPont family's inner circle as you explore their family home on a guided tour. Be transported to the fancy 1930's and '40s as you see how the DuPonts entertained friends, threw parties and even how they outfitted their spectacular bathrooms, which were ahead of their time. On a guided tram tour, be amazed at the spectacular gardens including the Azalea Woods, Magnolia Bend and the Enchanted Woods. Finish with dinner at the Brandywine Prime Restaurant featuring a glass of their house wine. Turn in for a good night's sleep at the Fairfield Inn & Suites, home for 2 nights.

Day 2 - Festival of Fountains (B, L) - The Festival of Fountains begins with a guided tour of Longwood Gardens. Experience the color and fragrance of the gardens as you see the stunning Conservatory, Flower Garden Walk, the Rose Room and more. After time to explore and lunch at the Longwood Cafe, witness the matinee Fountain Show set in the daylight sun. Watch towers of water soar toward the sky, dancing together against the backdrop of the gardens. Return in the evening for an awe-inspiring illuminated, nighttime fountain show choreographed to music. It will take your breath away!

Day 3 - Top of the Sky (B, L) - Begin the day with a bird's eye view of the City of Brotherly Love. At the top of the sky, take a guided tour of the recently opened One Liberty Observation Deck, 57 stories above the city. Finish your trip with an exceptional lunch overlooking the Delaware River aboard the Moshulu, one of Philadelphia's most revered restaurants. The Moshulu is the only restaurant in the world operating on a Tall Ship. This is an exquisite, fine dining experience and the perfect end to your Philly getaway.
