Georgia O'Keeffe: Visions Of Hawaii

Bronx, NY

The New York Botanical Garden announces its major 2018 exhibition, Georgia O'Keeffe: Visions of Hawaii, focusing on the iconic artist's immersion in the Hawaiian Islands in 1939. You'll experience a lush flower show in the Botanical Garden's Enid A. Haupt Conservatory evoking the gardens and landscapes that inspired O'Keeffe. The exhibition will feature more than 15 original O'Keeffe paintings not seen together in New York since their 1940 debut. The exhibition will feature the remarkable beauty and richness of Hawaii's wild and cultivated flora. See colorful tropical garden plants such as those O'Keeffe encountered and painted while in Hawaii. The garden will burst with the dazzling flowers of bougainvillea and hibiscus, and more tropical favorites. We'll enjoy a delicious lunch at Mario's Restaurant on Arthur Avenue in the Bronx.
