Adirondack Balloon Festival

Lake Placid Olympic Village, Saratoga, Lake George and Much More!

Day 1 (L, D) Begin your trip with a guided tour of Albany, the country's second oldest capital city. Tour the historic district, the Capitol Building and more. Enjoy lunch at the Albany Pump Room, a historic landmark. Next, head to Glens Falls, for our first foray to the 46th Annual Adirondack Balloon Festival! If weather permits, we'll witness a twilight balloon lift-off! Finish the day with a group dinner at the Log Jam Restaurant before turning in at the Queensbury Hotel, your home for the trip.

Day 2 (B, L, D) This morning, travel to the summit of Prospect Mountain, with 100-mile, unobstructed views! Next, board an old-world style lake cruiser for a narrated cruise of Lake George with lunch in the elegant dining room. This afternoon, explore the charming town of Lake George, before returning to the Balloon Festival. Witness more than 100 balloons fill the air, a spectacular aerial event! All lift offs are weather dependent. Dinner at Sweet Basil's, a local favorite.

Day 3 (B) In the early dawn light, see 100 balloons ascending en masse, an amazing sight! Don't worry, if the weather isn't promising, we'll sleep in. After the dawn lift off, head back to the hotel for breakfast before heading to Lake Placid. With your guide, tour Olympic Park, including the Ski Jump and the site of USA's Miracle on Ice! Enjoy the quaint town, with time for lunch on your own. Then, spend the evening watching the final balloon lift off and exploring the festival's many attractions, including the annual Craft Fair and the famous Moon Glow Balloons.

Day 4 (B) On a guided tour, visit the beautiful village of Saratoga Springs. Taste the healthful mineral waters at Saratoga Spa State Park, tour historic neighborhoods, and learn about one of the world's most famous race tracks. Explore the town with plenty of time for lunch and shopping on your own before heading home.
