On Easter Sunday, April 12, 2020, Italian global music icon Andrea Bocelli gave what he described as a message of love, healing and hope to Italy and the world. Bocelli performed by invitation of the City inside the magnificent Duomo cathedral in Milan. While the cathedral was empty, Bocelli sang for an audience of almost three million people around the world, accompanied by one pianist.

The thirty minute presentation included Bocelli singing Ave Maria and Amazing Grace, which he sang standing on the steps outside the cathedral.
