Spanning the U.S. and Canadian border, enjoy the beauty and legends of the Thousand Islands. Take to the waters with four different cruises,  two castles, a riverfront hotel, lakers, salties and more!

Day 1 - Thousand Islands & Alexandria Bay (D)
On the northern border of New York, on the shores of the St. Lawrence River, travel to the town of Alexandria Bay: a quaint riverside village featuring spectacular views, many attractions and just
one stoplight!

Check in to the Riveredge Resort, your home for the trip. Overlooking the river, with castle views, watch a variety of “lakers,” “salties,” and river boats from your waterfront room.

Take to the waters of the Thousand Islands on a sunset dinner cruise among the many seaway channels of the St. Lawrence. Once onboard, begin with a complimentary glass of wine or beer, followed by a dinner buffet and live music.

Day 2 - A Two-Nation Cruise & Boldt Castle (B)
After breakfast, board a two-nation river cruise on American and Canadian waters, through the heart of the Thousand Islands. With your local guide, learn intriguing folklore while cruising through narrow
channels, over historic sunken wrecks and past magnificent mansions.

Back on land, visit Boldt Castle, a grand, 120-year old castle that seems to float in the center of the river. The rest of the day is yours to relax at the hotel and enjoy the beautiful city.

Day 3 - Dark Island (B)
The Thousand Islands region could also be called land of castles! Cruise a different section of the
St. Lawrence to Dark Island, the home of Singer Castle. Built at the turn of the century by the president of the Singer Sewing Company, learn the mystery of the castle on a guided tour.

Don’t miss the five-story Clock Tower, massive medieval entrance with Knights of Armor beside the marble fireplace, the walnut-walled library with secret panel and more marvels that bring to life the tales this castle could tell!

Later this afternoon, visit the Thousand Island Winery for a tour and tasting. Spend the evening in the charming, riverside village of Clayton, NY.

Day 4 - Erie Canal Lock Cruise (B, L)
Arrive in the beautiful Finger Lakes for lunch at the Waterfront Grill overlooking the Erie Canal and Mohawk River, and our fourth distinct water experience! 

Embark on the Erie Canalway National Heritage Corridor with a cruise through the historic Erie Canal and Mohawk River Valley. Cruise through famous Lock 18, one of the last remaining locks operating with all original equipment, dating back more than 100 years. As your ship is raised and lowered in a “liquid elevator,” learn how canal locks changed the world!
